Alone In The Dark

All alone in the dark
A voice cried saying 
Take me with you

It came from outside my mind
And left me feeling 
So hesitated

Led out into the night
A pale moon shines
Into my eyes

It wakens up my fright
And whispers names
I’ve never heard of

l see the shadow on the wall
And in the gloom there’s a child standing
She reaches out to take my hand
And not a scream not a cry
Just golden splendor

Far into the mist
She sings a song 
So hypnotizing 

She runs into the light
And vanishes
Forever faded
